Thiago Rodrigues de Souza - From Brazil's lower divisions to Europe's top level with Only Way Football
At Only Way Football, we had the honor of spotting Brazilian talent Thiago Rodrigues de Souza and bringing him to Poland. After taking part in one of our test training camps, an event bringing together amateur players from all over the world, Thiago performed brilliantly, leading us to introduce him to Sandecja Nowy Sącz (a club playing in Poland's Second Division - I Liga) for a trial.
Before taking part in our camp, Thiago played in the lower divisions of Brazilian soccer, mainly in the fourth and fifth divisions.
Following his successful trial with Sandecja Nowy Sącz, Thiago signed with the club. After around six months at Sandecja, his performances attracted the attention of several Polish first division clubs (Ekstraklasa). Together, we made the decision to sign immediately with Cracovia, a club in the Polish First Division. At Cracovia, Thiago quickly established himself as a key player, notably winning the Polish Cup.
A few months after his arrival at Cracovia, his talent attracted the interest of Fenerbahçe and several other major European clubs.
Thiago's story is a perfect example of Only Way Football's mission: to identify and accompany talent from all over the world towards the highest level of European soccer.
